Full disclaimer, the reweigh was fully empty. What was in the back besides wood was, 394 w/ 42” b/c, 365 w/ 28” b/c, small mix can has about 1 gallon, bar oil has about 2qts. This is wet honey locust but not a healthy tree when fell. Guessing the payload weight, not combined fully loaded, but if you wanna guess that, could be the tie breaker. CAT scale slips to follow. Blocks are about 21” long. What say yee?
Still 80lbs in the bags. No hard bouncing, no where near bump stops. I should probably let some air out so the brake bias transfers to the rear more. This definitely is not a wood I’d stack cab high.
Have you ever weighed a load like that Brad? I never realized they would weigh average joe’s like us. $13.50 for the first weigh, $3,50 for reweigh. And I can pay that reweigh fee for 24hrs (I was told, can’t confirm ). Guess I’ll go inside before trying it to make sure. Taking the trailer for tomorrow’s first trip.
Jason, CAT scales ( Certified Automated Truck) scales has almost 3,000 locations across the USA, they make a metric crapton of money weighing and re weighing all day every day. CAT scales are so confident in their scales accuracy if a truck driver gets fined for being overweight contrary to the weigh slip they will pay for legal representation or pay the fine. They will take anybody's money for a weigh. They even have an app you can pay and not have to get out of the truck.
Wow, they have gone up significantly since I used to weigh on them. Used to be $7.50 for the first weigh.
