5:15pm and it’s 43F. Chimney repair people put in the new insulated sleeve today. First fire of the season! Burned whatever was stacked close to the house from last season…birch and maple and maybe some Doug fir.

It was 52 at 6 this morning but the temps have started to drop. Down to 48 now. House is holding at 72 so no fire yet. We have had some rain along with lightning and thunder with more on the way for later today.

I got up around 3:00 and surprised at the 65 degree temp! This sounds more like July.

Hanging in that low 20's/-4 to -2 C range all day...waiting to see what kind of storm we're in for. Depending where in Sask, 4-8" of snow, snow/ice pellets/rain mix, and upwards of 50 mph wind. I brought in enough wood that in theory, I don't have to go outside today if I choose not to.:D

Heavy winds today, and rain. I see it as good- pushing down some ash trees that are a hazard . Pretty warm the rest of the week, so i turned the OWB off.

wif3 wanted a fire going in the house, so at the moment she is watching the flames.
