Had a fellow co- worker tell me the other day that he had decided to quit burning wood for his home. He stated they had a older insert and didn’t want to burn wood no more and told me I could have all the wood he had left. I have hauled I guess six loads and probably two more loads to get. All the wood is oak and probably four years plus seasoned . I have never found wood given to to me already cut , spilt and seasoned. Feeling good guys, I was behind own my wood gathering and the lord has made a way . Here is a pic of load I’m giving away to a woman down the road that is in need of wood. She is a good Christian person that has a child with special needs. Never go wrong helping others. It always comes back.

Your totally right, past couple of years I have purchased wood from a place down the road from where I live that sales kiln dried firewood commercially, they have contracts with different chain stores. They sell the wood that’s has a knots and doesn’t look eye appealing to the locals But since covid they haven’t been producing like they was. So happy to score own this.

Sweet score and good on you!
Why in the world do they not want to burn anymore? Seems like this is the time more people are getting into it.

That’s what I was thinking. Everything has gotten so expensive. Heating with wood is a big savings if you get your own wood.

That same thing has happened to us too!
The first was an older fellow who doesnt burn: we split the wood at his place to sell.
The second was a friend who we'd helped in felling and splitting, and who split a lot with his kids. And then moved to FL.
A lot of loads with a small trailer on both counts, but man the work that was saved!

What a blessing for you guys! Happy for ya!
