I'd guess it's over what it should be. I've seen you leave Tony's and thought, damm that's heavy for that truck.

    Definitely!

I'm not sure. It is a little farm-ette so I wouldn't doubt it.

Me too! Lol. I didn't realize Rutters would do personal vehicles or I would have weighed a load earlier.

They sure do and I'm not complaining about it. Typically yard trees that I can drive right up to. The phone thing isn't so bad right now. There's a certain peace and quiet w/o it. Lol.

This is nice, straight grain wood...

I would travel for locust that size. Don't see a lot near home.

I've got one like that near me, the landowner wants it gone. It's on the field edge and he ran a thorn through a tire hauling apples to his tree stand, last year.

Hopefully it stays dry this winter.

Yep. 14" wheel with added second ramp sprays every 7", so I cut big stuff at 21". Love that thing and should have bought it sooner. It's crazy quick and super easy to use. Headed back to site to mill that last piece, seen in this pic in front of my truck:

I am not aware of it. We have water locust and it has the baddest thorns imaginable. I understand that it is related to a honey locust, but not same species. Maybe it is honey locust that some of the trees or maybe a separate variety? do not have thorns. I sure would love to get that tree. Water locust grows prolifically in the Red River valley floodplain, mostly. I also have some in my pasture in the uplands a mile away. Bad pasture tree, will give your tractor flat tires.

I found a few black locust in my town, first I have ever been aware of, but I never was looking for them before. They are smallish so far, less than six inches diameter. If I ever find a bigun that's dead, that would be awesome. North of here about 150 miles into Arkansas, they do grow, and much bigger. Maybe they are just now spreading into our area.

No apts at the shop today so I snuck out to run saws. Made a few cuts on the mill, then switched to noodles. blocked up that one round and gathered everything else that was laying around from last time.
