Some of you fine people met my buddy Jeff at the Pa gtg. He lives about 40 minutes away and doesn’t come by my place often. When he does he only sees the stacks out front. This afternoon I showed him the stacks on the back of my property and he said I have a problem….. more than once Folks just don’t understand the beauty of more. Unfortunately I live in a state where it’s still 70 something in November. Maybe it was the terror of delivering newspapers door to door at 5am in Minnesota winters?
If he has "less", then I'd say he's the one with the problem! You'll get the last laugh...sooner or later.
Stack envy isn't pretty. Plenty of passages in the Bible regarding envy and/or lusting of the heart over the neighbor's wife, servant, maid, ox, donkey or firewood.
If that happens again, politely ask if he puts money into savings. Does he fill up the tank when he only has to drive maybe 50 miles? Does he or his wife buy groceries for more than a day at a time? One could go on and on with this.
I think most of us hear the same comments at one time or another. Only a firewood hoarder understands a fellow hoarder. Most people see the large stacks of wood. We see the empty stacks and locations for new stacks.
No you don't have a problem. A problem is when waiting at the doctor's office you stare at a painting with a tree and engineer how you'd drop it.
Chud do you have a problem.. I am going to say yes! Life would get pretty boring if we didn’t have any! I think you would rest easy knowing That freezing to death is not one of your problems
Some people like me hoard fabrics - it is a hobby. Others hoard cars - car collectors. Some people collect stamps or coins. FHC hoard firewood. I don't see a problem with that.
Well, I have a firewood problem. Haven't been adding to my stacks at the house for over a year and down to one season.
Haven't done it since before I retired, but I've bought firewood. Most of the time it's still cheaper than other forms of energy. It is a lot easier when you've got the $$$$ admittedly.
