Someone had to have loaded that trailer with a tractor to get those big logs up on top. Just one or two of those really big logs would have been a full load for that trailer. That is incredible.
I can hear them now returning it, “hey dude, I don’t know what’s wrong with your trailer! Must’ve been broke when you leant it to me”
Can’t help but ask myself why he stopped with the logs he did If he could justify what he did, I’m sure he could have justified a few more!
When its dry it is. There was one stick in a delivery i did recently. Only six months seasoned too. You ever score any?
We burned cottonwood one year when the neighbor had a giant one come down. It burned quick, but we stayed warm.
It is amazing how much water those cottonwood rounds will hold. They are so heavy you would think they are oak. Those big rounds on that trailer will be wet for the next 10 years until they are taken down into splits. I know I have burned a lot of cottonwood.
I've burned a LOT of cottonwood, silver maple ect. Split it bigger and once dry it heats fine. No coals to speak of but definitely in the gopher category.
