    Got our first measurable snow early AM on Thursday. Hi temps in the 30’s, lows in the teens the past few nights, beautiful winter scenery, Hwy 285 becoming a cluster (Cash Larue)…Winter has arrived at 9,000ft!     We have lots of lodgepole here as well. Its one of the better pines in my opinion.

    We're ready here, but I have a couple weeks worth of wood splitting to get done.
    OTOH, whatever's left will get me out of the house now and again in the winter.

    The older I get the more I dislike snow. Maybe in 5 years when able to retire and stay home, then maybe I can learn to appreciate it again. It could stay around 50's and then start warming up in April.
