All I did with the big rounds was noodle them in half and use the maul to break down each half. Not much moving of the rounds at all.
Today I finally finished splitting and stackingthe wood from the first big oak. I am done for the year with splitting and stacking. I have a stacked pile 28 feet long, 4 feet high and 2 rows of 16 inch splits. That comes out to 2.33 cords. My goal for this fall is to now fill the remaining pallet row with wood to be split next spring when I again have room to stack it. The second large oak that is down will go a long ways to filling this up.
