Big oak

    All I did with the big rounds was noodle them in half and use the maul to break down each half. Not much moving of the rounds at all.

    I was cutting them with an 18" bar, so lots of rolling the trunk, and then rounds out of the way.

    Today I finally finished splitting and stacking:axe::stacker:the wood from the first big oak. I am done for the year with splitting and stacking. I have a stacked pile 28 feet long, 4 feet high and 2 rows of 16 inch splits. That comes out to 2.33 cords.

    My goal for this fall is to now fill the remaining pallet row with wood to be split next spring when I again have room to stack it.
