Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a. TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 48° this morning, heading to 75° looks like another dry day. Took 20 minutes to mow the neighor's spot, then I mowed trails and strips in the food plots. Split enough oak to finish another tote for the restaurant. Got a little more mowing to do later today, 1st thing will be cutting more oak for about 3 more totes, 1 more for the restaurant and 2 short totes for a customer that wants 1/2 cord.
Be blessed and be a blessing...

It’s from the biopsy a couple weeks ago…. It wasn’t melanoma but it was like “1 step” away…. They are just going into to get more out.

As we don't get a lot of leaves in our garden, I was not aware of a leaf vacuum. Thanks for that.

Morning all. Relatively warm this morning but raining. After almost 2 months of no rain and more or less sunshine, the days feel so much darker. As long as we don't get flooded out, the rain is welcomed.
Got our flu shots yesterday and no reactions to it so that is a good thing. There was a dry spell so campinspecter moved firewood down to the basement. Going from firing every four days to every second day now as the weather is colder.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! 41F and sunny. Temps will be climbing for the next few days. The driveway alarm woke me early today, possibly a creature walking past. So I headed out to the barn. I had an IBC tote on a wood pallet, which had started to rot. I removed the bolts and set the cage on a better pallet. It's ready to go back to work. Then I filled a bag with cherry smoking wood chunks. Need to make a few more. Music practice tonight at church. Have a God day!

    Better late than never...
We moved another couple carloads of oak to the neighbors today. Both husbands even helped a token amount! The oak pile looks like this now: IMG_20221027_44913.jpg

Nasty task. Good luck. I remember the first one I had to have done. I wasn't even a teenager then... More were to come later.

Morning All Woke up at 1:30 and couldn't get back to sleep so I went and set an alarm and sewed up two quilt blocks. I have about five more to do and then put the quilt together. It is another baby quilt for a friend's granddaughter.
Last day of work this week. It has been an eventful week at work. Life is never dull in the office of a high school.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! 41F and sunny, looks like a beautiful day. I picked up a small load of rounds by the road on my lunch yesterday. I'll go back today to see if I can get more. I plan to fill a tote of shorts and uglies tonight to put out at the roadside stand and make another solar kiln while there's still some nice weather. Have a God day!

Good morning all. 30 and frost to start the day. Fire going in the stove.
Took a pic of sunrise. A fog bank rolled in and gave the sky a neat look.

Good afternoon, y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. Heading into the 70's today, blue skies. My weekend to work 7AM-7PM, got about 15 logs bucked and piled next to Blue Samson yesterday, then the guy with the big lawn called, spent 2 hrs with blower and bagger getting up leaves while they were dry. Then we took our neighbor/best friend Mike and his mom out for catfish/seafood dinner. His birthday was Oct 25th. It was really:drool::drool::drool:...
The sunset on the way home wasn't bad either 1027221917a.jpg

    Good morning guy's 35/71 IMG_20221027_172904891_HDR.jpg
I cut a load of locust for a friend he only has wood for heat.
This is the second load I helped him with IMG_20221020_115453099_HDR.jpg
Got him some chestnut/red oak wherever you are people call it different names.
I don't mind helping him at all he blocks and loads while I drop tree's.
And a ported 372 makes quick work of firewood.
I've been given access to several hundred acre's of land and can cut any dead or damaged tree's.

I have no problem at all cutting wood for people that need it have been doing it for decades and I have accumulated like 30 timber saws since the 80s
I don't even burn wood anymore
But always cut for my niece, neighbors and friend's I drop tree's they are afraid of and with my saws it's quite a bit faster than a poulan 42cc or whatever they have.
Recently this guy walks up I don't know him he lives off-grid I guess in a cabin
as I'm dropping locust on a neighbors farm and wants me to
Drop, block, load and haul 12-15 truckloads of firewood since he doesn't have any wood or electricity or generator
I asked if he has a saw
He does but says his shoulder hurts
I said Skippy I'm dropping dead tree's for this old man you can come and get whatever you want but you're crazy if you think I'd do everything and you not help.
He better figure some out the 90+ year old neighbors told me it's going to be a rough winter.
