    Does the muffler mod make it much louder? Noticeable power?

    Didn't know where to leave this, so since I'm new, I'll leave it here this time, and try to find the correct thread from now on.

    Yall's excitement is contagious so I went and bought a Fiskar X27 today to go with my saw.

    Around sunset, I tried it on two smaller diameter rounds, about 18" and 20" long, of Boisdarc that I cut last year after a storm at other grandparents place.

    Hard to tell from this picture how yellow it really is inside. This ax did really well, and I picked one knotty round to test it.. What little I did I can tell Im using back muscles I don't use often, haha.

    Speaking of Boisdarc, many of my corner posts I cut from trees that were straight and the right size. Here's my biggest Osage corner. 51" circumference at top and 34" round near the bottom. Buried 4' deep and over 6' out. 20220722_205256.jpg

    That is a big corner post...

    The muffler mod does make it a bit louder, lets the saw breathe better, makes more power.

    Love all the wire on the corner post. I have an uncle with a ranch in Uvalde Texas and they use wire, barbed and otherwise, on everything. The duct tape of the ranching world!

    Yeah, that's about the only j-red I ever really thought much of.....after husky bought them out the j-reds just seemed kinda silly to me.
    I did have a dead 49sp once upon a time....
