Good morning! 61F and cloudy. Rain in the forecast throughout the day. Had a face cord delivered last night. Guy said it was oak, cherry, mulberry, etc. Turned out to be 90% ash. That's OK except he can't measure. A lot of it was less than 14". I stacked it in IBC totes and went on. Then I split almost 1/4 cord of cherry in a tote and put it in the barn so it wouldn't get wet. I'm going to see a lady tonight that has downed trees she wants removed and also wants to buy firewood. We'll see if we can strike up a deal. Have a God day!

Thanks Jeff. I also share it with my dear wife and also her mother. How I wish the three of us could spend another birthday together as we did for many years. It is strange too that I've known many folks with the same birthdate.

I'll be sharing a meal at our neighbor's, Jim and Marilyn. She promised me a birthday cake and now supper. You no doubt know who I speak of when I mention Jim as we have cut wood for him now several times.

He is doing quite well. His son shot a buck like the ones you posted. He got it just about 50 yards from our line fence behind our house.

Good morning! 49F and cloudy with showers this morning. Went to look at some downed trees that a sort-of neighbor was interested in having removed. They're white pine about 20' into the woods. Not really interested but they are straight as an arrow with no limbs for what seems like miles. I might cut several rounds over the winter to use for kindling. At least she wants a bulk wood delivery so the trip was worthwhile. Tried to find a leak under the sink to no avail. At least everything is dry for now. Bible study at church tonight. I need to set up a new solar kiln as well. Have a God day!

Good morning everyone! Happy Birthday Dennis! More wet weather today. Here's my red maple leaves... IMG_20221025_17127.jpg
I'd love to get raking, but it's too wet. Tomorrow is sunny, but I'll be moving more wood to my neighbors mud room. Maybe Friday I'll get to it.
    Have a great day!

Morning All. Wet again today with dry spells. We have two wet storms headed our way over the next few days. Temps this morning just above freezing but no frost yet.
Midwinter love the colour of your new carpet. Too bad it doesn't last. Raking I understand but blowing leaves around I don't. To my mind, there should be a vacuum designed to pick up leaves.
Off to work again this morning. I think I am actually going to work a five day week or maybe not. We will see what Friday is bringing. There are a couple of two persons chores to be done before the cold weather really sets in.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Good morning, members.

Mid-50's to start. The stars are out, so it's clear. Supposed to be sunny.

I'm sure moving leaves around will be one activity for today.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

There are several leaf vacuums available. We have a small hand-held blower that has a bag and nozzle attachment, converts it to a leaf mulcher/bagger, then there is a hose and nozzle that can attach to the blower on a mower bagger to vacuum leaves from flower beds. We have a big bagger for our mower to get up leaves.
