Looking to add top and tilt cylinders to my 3 point. Not wanting any hoses. Looking at fit-rite, surplus center ext. Any thoughts or recommendations?
Sorry I should have been more clear. I don't want to purchase generic hoses in a kit as I always get custom hoses made. Well that and I'm putting a 4 spool valve in so no supplied hoses would work anyway.
Have a factory top and tilt kit on the 4052R, bought it with the tractor. I use it mostly for making the skidding winch dig in better when the tractor is not perfectly on flat ground. Also comes in handy for grading ditches with a rear blade, and changing the angle of the landscape rake for grading loam. A lot of people have the fit-rite setup, and apparently summit hydraulics has gotten popular for valves and kits. I priced it out when I ordered the 4052R and it was cheaper to have the factory install it, than to buy it through fit-rite, and that was in February 2020.
I intend to use it much the same way. Fit rite is 3 years out, forget that. I'm only after the cylinders themselves, valving I've got covered. Might end up making my own tilt cylinder so it fits properly.
I welded up my own top link for 2 of my tractors and they're very handy for several things. I think I've seen them at surplus center but their pretty generic in length and stroke. I've never needed a tilt feature, that might be the tough one to build.
I added a 4 spool rear on the Kubota and a single spool on the ford. I use an off the shelf cylinder for top. I think from surplus’s center. Worth its weight in gold on all the rear implements. I haven’t needed tilt ever so never messed with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
One thing I've never had to do is add any 'spools'. Both my M9's came with 6 outlets and the top one is flow control for orbital powered implements. I use them all on occasion too. Better (and cheaper) to spec them with the maximum number of outlets when buying them.
Had the Kub. Dealer install top and tilt when I bought the tractor . As stated above , comes in handy . It also allows me to run my stump grinder’s hydraulic cylinders .
