Enjoying the pictures and being brought along for the ride. Keep up the good work Jeff and stay safe during the upcoming storm. Hope it misses you.

Bet the home owner was glad for some of those to be down! We have a pool and I can only imagine fighting that much leaf drop.

That one stump may not be pretty but as you said, it safely went where you wanted it to. Nice work!

He said the leaves were a mess, stained the deck around the pool, water chemistry and shaded it too much.
He sent us a thank you text and said he was worried about those trees.

Thanks, GOOD LORD was whispering in my ear on that one. Needed a lot of holding wood on that side.

Thanks, brother. The storm is now a TS, with 65 mph winds, heading right at Port Canaveral. We are supposed to have 20-30 mph wind today, maybe some rain tomorrow. We are safe.

This has been a pretty impressive project jeff. Interested to see how much firewood it translates to on the other side if you’re able to keep track! Thanks for sharing the journey with all of us:yes:

Same. Couple dozen trees is NOT a small project.
Jeff, I admire your energy....at 48 I can keep up with the best of the whippersnappers at work, but coming home after I'm rather aware Im not 30.
I'm as good once as I ever was.....

I'll see if we can track it. I know some smaller stuff has already found a new home to start drying and we are processing some older logs from another place. I do remember what logs are in what piles...lol...
I can do a final trailer load count when we finish.

My hunny wondered how many trees we have cut on this project, she guessed at least 100...lol...
I told Brad, the homeowner, thanks for the summer job...lol...
    1st tree was cut April 12th. 0412221005.jpg
We took a couple trips this year and work schedule, weather...

We got back to the site on the 18th, with strong winds moving in after lunch.
We got to work on the 12 trees remaining on the right side yard/driveway.
Dropped a couple small gums and 1 elm for pulpwood, then had some small red oaks next... 1018220832_HDR.jpg 1018220836_HDR.jpg
Probably the biggest red oak in the group hung up on a big pine limb. Chain around the bottom and careful pulling got it down and away from the electric transformer, hiding in the edge of the azaleas 1018220845_HDR.jpg
Had to drop a couple across the driveway...this red oak 1018220848a_HDR.jpg
    And this sweet gum 1018220849_HDR.jpg
This was the biggest water oak, heavy lean/limb weight towards the road. Took 4x drive and a steady push to turn it back
    1018220855_HDR.jpg
It hit this pine, which was dead and he wanted down...it brought it down too... 1018220857_HDR.jpg
The MS180 works great for limbing and bucking these smaller logs 1018221224a.jpg
Most of the 1st load came from these trees 1018221426_HDR.jpg
After lunch, we started bucking the trees behind the pool area we dropped a couple weeks ago...the 2nd load of the day... 1018221733_HDR.jpg
Had a nice frost Wednesday morning, field next to the subdivision we are cutting in 1019220807_HDR.jpg
Had to climb the dirt pile for this 1 1019220853_HDR.jpg
Miz Carol limbed a couple sweet gum logs today... 1019221046.jpg
Got another load Wednesday morning 1019221355_HDR.jpg
Only have 1 more tall oak to drop, definitely wearing the brain bucket with it, nice widow maker hanging in it.
Got small brush piles to move and several piles of assorted limb wood and short logs to load and this summer job will be done.

Yes sir, it was a lot....work and fun...truly enjoyed working on this site, especially when the homeowner was able to help. He's an assistant high school football coach...once school started, he's been working almost 7 days a week

Ive enjoyed following your progress Jeff. Some serious quality wood from this. Always nice to get paid in cash and firewood from a job. Any jobs on the horizon?

A lot of work there, but looks like a job well done and some BTU's for you.
