Some dead red oak I felled about 2 weeks ago. I've been gone since I cut it and just got around to getting it to the splitting area today. It required the manufacturing of a mountain of noodles. I've not done that in a while, its great fun. And I managed to miss the 'purple monsters' hiding in the butt end of the log. 4 more ash trees to bring home today. And so goes the fall season. And the last bunch of oak.
That's great, lots of BTU's right there. Glad you're feeling better and able to tackle that big stuff...
Next time? We'll see. Father-in-law has a slow growing terminal cancer so we spend a lot of time between KY. And N. Y. Maybe this summer, we are planning a cycling trip around Lake Michigan. But that too depends....
She's been a good girl ever since the Stihl regional guy replace all her electronics. Now, if they could make lighter!
Bet that 661 made short work of noodling. Nice when you find the purple but not the metal that caused it. Always a good feeling to get back on the saws after an absence.
