Getting ready to cover with EDPM… I finally finished it off a couple weeks weeks ago. The rest had been covered all summer with a tarp…

Roughly what I consider 4 cords…. 5 skids long and two skids wide…

Very tidy, and I like the wire tying the posts together. Great idea!

Thanks… it’s about time to replace the skids… probably the last round with them. The fence post help keep the stress down…

    .

Thanks! Getting there… Perfect weather we are getting… trying to play catch-up…

Late to the party. Somehow missed this thread. Impressive amount of oak and work. Time for a multi year nap. How far ahead are you wood wise?

I'm right around 3 ish... ... Yesterday I pretty much finished cutting this summers honeylocust/Hedge score... That'll probably fill up the left over of the burr oak area... That'll finish up the big BTU wood.... So it'll be on to shoulder season wood...

We are in the same boat Chvymn99 . My year 3 stack is mostly red oak right now. This is the first year since moving into the new place in 2019 that I've dropped healthy trees of my choice for the stacks. What's in my furnace this morning is still from clearing the lot back in 2018. My wood situation has been improving year over year with longer drying, better storage, three year plan, etc. I'm looking forward to seeing how 3 year oak treats me the fall of 2024!

You'll be pretty happy with the 3 yr oak.

I've seen 3 and 4 yr oak (usually white oak) sizzle just a bit though.
