Early version of the oc3. Cletrac was the original company. Some time after Oliver purchased the company the model was changed to OC3. Oliver Crawler 3 ? Lol. Anyway, there were updates from the first unit till the last along the way. Most to address minor weaknesses and increases power. I can't recall specifics without digging up things.

This is what I'm looking for but prefer the narrow 42 gauge over the wide unit so it fits on our trails. If the right localish deal comes along id buy either. Hg / OC3

These units below is the 42 gauge. The gauge is measured center to center on the tracks. All the industrial models with factory loaders and blades were 42" as far as I know. They also had beefed up track frame mounts to support the weight of lifting and stresses of dozing. Industrial models were yellow under the Oliver name. Not sure about under the CleTrac name.
They were offered in a 31 gauge for sidewalk plowing or orchard work, the 42 in the industrial and standard model, 60 and 68 gauge.

Ok...im getting it I think ! I can see how that wide one would be not very nice in the woods ! I can't believe those didn't have all sorts of breakage issues with the tracks sticking way out like that !

The wide units were row crop farm crawlers used for pulling implements. Not much stress on the torque tubes that way. They were spaced to place the tracks between the plants.

Those 42 gauge units, with 10" tracks would be 52" overall width. 50" with 8" tracks.

A 68 would be 78" wide with 10" tracks. Bug difference for putting around our 60" wide trails here.

1949 HG. Gotta look at the paperwork by serial # just HG. It was built just after Oliver took Cletrac over. I still have the service records all the way back to the 70's. It was in the personal collection of the owner of a cartage company. They used it in factories to lift press parts and such up on an a frame with the winch. I acquired it from his son in law after he passed. I doubt it's been outdoors much. Thing's nearly perfect except for the rubber track pads. If you know anybody with a set let me know. I'd like to parade it a bit. It's a pretty good draw at shows. One of you guys really needs it lol.

Interesting story. Zimmerman in PA could have the pads you seek.

    Check out this sweet oc4
    Cockshutt was Oliver in Canada.

Also you can see the coil suspension on the older oc4 in the second picture. Same thing the HG / OC3 had.
