    Well i wish it was the old normal. I fear the numbness is permanent. Cant use the remote with my left hand. Guess its the new normal.

    Brad, just caught up, that has healed nicely. One day you'll say, "hey it isn't numb anymore!" And then wonder how long it hasn't been numb but you didn't notice!

    The end of your thumb is mostly scar tissue. That usually doesn't have much feeling, Sorry, brother

    Took 3/4 off tip of my right thumb 30 years ago. Nerves are slowest part of body to heal and won’t heal normal but sensations should come back.

    The more annoying part is your thumbnail will be screwy for the next few years until the calluses the scars Cause the nail to be thicker and grow oddly

    The nail seems normal for the most part. Third time (at least) ive lost that nail and its grown back normally. Just annoying when working even doing normal stuff when it interferes. Like anything else, ive adapted and overcome which is about all i can do.

    You may also find it aching in the cold. Heaven help you if you bang it then!:bug: Hope not, but probably. Glad it healed up well!:yes:

    Ouch glad it was not any worse !! All that we do is dangerous it is thanks for sharing it reminds us to be attentive because a moment of inattention can be a disaster . Hope you get healed up OK JB
