Hey sorry, I know there’s a separate dog thread but I couldn’t find it. (Which forum please?)

Anyhow, it’s not just about the dog. I just filled this tote with some ash. It’s a bit punky. Would you sell it? I am gonna sell the tote of cherry and the other of ash in the background. The ash in the back is dry and solid. I can always burn the closer one myself.

And the pooch is Roxy the Havanese (she’s also a bit punky). She’s a great dog but when I’m outdoors I watch her like a hawk because…there are hawks, coyotes, turkey vultures, bald eagles, a Maine coon, etc. A bunch of things that would eat her.

Nice, friendly little pooch ya got there!

I don't sell firewood, so I wouldn't be a good advisor on the issue. I just like the pic!

This. I would either gift it to someone in dire need, or burn it myself. I wouldn’t want my reputation to take a hit for selling sub-par fuel, especially in tough times. But everyone has different standards. Maybe someone with an OWB would drool over that stuff, at a discounted rate? Never know…

Yeah was thinking it’s not ideal to sell. But was also thinking if I say it’s about 20% punky and give a discount it’s being upfront. Have a lot of cottages around here and people could use it in the firepit. Either way I have to wait until next year. The top half of the tote is the punkier stuff. I had stacked it on a pallet and it didn’t get enough airflow.

We would sell at a discount. Plenty of customers seem to like it for fire pits or shoulder season but like a discount.

Let potential buyers know of the woods issues. It doesnt look too bad IMO. Will the buyers pick it up or do you deliver?

    Cute pooch BTW!

I’m going to deliver. Also mention “cage not included”.
I’m not going too big into selling…just a few bucks on the side. To buy a MS462 or MS400 at some point. There’s this thing called CAD, you may have heard of it.

You’ll need to have both saws for the optimum firewood cutting experience.

You got me convinced. My wife’s the roadblock…though she does like a nice fire in the winter.

They will only get more expensive, so might as well buy now.

...and a 500i for the ULTIMATE cutting experience! :saw:
The 462 powerhead is only a tad heavier than a 400 (.4lbs) grandgourmand

As Brad said, it doesn't look to bad. Is it soft punk or just spalted? Some of the older oak we're cleaning up is solid, but the sap spalted.

I would either sort it out and burn that myself or give a good discount for the pile.
