We did those three big hemlocks Sunday and had to make two trips to the county composting site (we pay for a membership there). Well the rules state that you aren't to dump large logs, limbs that are too big, and some other stipulations.

As we pull around to the branch pile, THIS is what we were greeted with....a tandem dump trailer load of split and seasoned white oak!!

the stuff looks like it's been either in a shed, barn or other structure for 10 years or more......well we had to go back down the mountain and haul another large load of branches, so we prayed that it would still be there on our arrival the second trip up and....IT WAS!

We loaded up around 1 1/2 cord of that stuff in the trailer and truckbed too, and ran out of room.....there was still a TON left! I wanted to go back up that night and get the rest of it but we were WHOOPED from 11 hours on those three large hemlocks......

Gave the whole trailer load to my buddy who cuts with me, he's still trying to get three years ahead. He stacked it all in his garage and basement, he shouldn't have to come outside for wood until after Christmas!!

C'mon, that just ain't right. The guy that has damm near cornered the world wood supply shouldn't be finding stuff like this. Widows and orphans should. Where is the justice? ;)

trust me guys, this don't happen too often for me. I did the right thing and gave it to my cutting partner. That guy has been my best friend since we were in diapers, he and his wife-to-be bought a new house last summer and had to more-or-less start over on their wood pile (couldn't get the wood all out at their old house), he's probably at around 2 years C/S/S now.....this will help him get ahead even more....

You lucky guy, Scott - what a cool accidental find. And then you turn it around and give it to your friend, making him a lucky guy. Outa site! Right on! Far out! (Those are old 'hip' phrases of encouragement).

    Behave, Gassy.....lol....
    We can't have that......

Sad thing is, my buddy is too big to climb (he's around 6'5" and 270lbs). He's the ground grunt/bucker/cleaner-upper, I'm the climber/technical dude....

Calm down Scotty, you have a problem and you have to recognize it!:) Just take a deep breath and then exhale!

Charlie, we didn't have the space to use the speedline, the trees weren't in line with the exit in the fence. We have a job to do this weekend, I'm hoping we can set that line up for that job, just to get some practice....

I was just wondering if you learned how to climb together when you were in diapers is all. Did you learn how to hunt together when you were in diapers?
