I’ve got a load of oak logs coming in this afternoon. Can’t beat the free wood and free delivery. LOL. For some reason it won’t let me upload a pic

Yes they are beehives. They are doing pretty good. Going to pull honey this weekend, I’m running a month behind on getting my extracting done.

The tree guy that brought those said he has trouble finding people to take the trees he cuts. He said he has a stockpile at his yard and he is going to start hauling logs out to me to clean his yard up.

Having trouble finding someone to take oak? I guess there's more people not willing to do physical labor than I thought. Free heat for a year? No thanks not if I have to cut and split it?

No wonder some guys are selling a cord of oak for more than $200.

He can’t find anyone to take that wood?!
Those logs would sell for $3-5,000 bucks here.

Exactly. Most people around here won’t fool with trees that big either, they want 20” and smaller. Those big ones in the pic are 32”-34” across. I just cut them 20” long, use a ripping chain to quarter them and then split the quarters. It’s really not that bad for as much wood as you get out of them.

Just got a text from the tree guy saying he is hauling me another load of oak in today and he is taking down another big one tomorrow and bringing it to me. You headed out here with cash to buy some logs ? LOL
