I'd be too scared to try 100:1. o_O I burn 40:1 in all my other stuff.

This is controlled testing only on sacrificial ope, never on anything I care about. I run 25:1 in nearly everything I own.

wow. If prices drop here, I'll be tempted to pick up a few.
Just started into my 4th gallon for this year. A couple more might be good, particularly if prices go up in the coming months.

Looks like a great price but closest Fleet Farm for me is about 90 miles in Sioux City.

Apparently the Orschlen’s in CB closed the closest to you is Lincoln or Nebraska City.

That buy one get one in their flyer is $6.99 gallon.

I've probably have 8 gallons on the shelf so will keep myself and Lefty supplied for a few years. May bpick some up next time I am in Lincoln or Nebraska City but no hurry.
    Thanks JimBear

I'm buying some spark plugs as crazy as that sounds. I found out yesterday that there is a couple of big stihl plants that provide components in the Ukraine. I guess they were bombed out, so some dealers aren't getting very large allotments of certain saws and other items. He told me that spark plugs are in short supply now, and some saws aren't being sent out to be distributed because of this. NGK are still Japanese right? Sounds nuts but this is what I was told. I asked while he was there on the floor, because they didn't have any files. They didn't have much of anything actually. Sounds crazy, and I can't confirm any of this. I'm going to spend some extra money anyway. Their stihl bar oil was 23.99 a gallon. That is nuts.

Can anybody more connected straighten me out if this is a bunch of malarkey?

I'm asking about NGK, because for years that is the first thing I do is switch plugs if compatible.

I recently spoke to a couple of Stihl reps about their batteries. He said batteries were manufactured in the Baltics, but it was transitioning to a Virginia facility. I’m going to my Stihl dealer in the morning, so I’ll ask about plug availability. There saw inventory has been good recently. Always 261’s, 400’s and 462’s on the shelf’s.

Thanks. I curious to see if this is a regional thing, and if I got some tall stories.

Has anyone noticed that the TSC brand bar and chain oil is thinner than it used to be? I just finished a gallon from three years ago and started one i bought last week. Both jugs were at the same temperature and the new one was noticeably thinner. Neither were winter weight.

Thats all I've used, but I dont think I've used any that I got this year....I have not noticed the reservoir being more empty than usual upon gas fill...
And the stuff is still $13.99/G, as of three days ago.

Getting into this late I heat with outdoor furnace and when I hear a few people at work talking about heating oil prices I shiver makes me happy I switched from propane to wood. The price of gas is killing a lot of families. At one time it cost me $50 a week to go to work now it’s almost $100. The small cost increases on 6-10 gallons of gas and 3 to 6 gallons of bar oil seems unimportant. I live in the country on 18 acres of mostly woodland and only go off home ground to help someone out.

I’ve got a pretty decent stockpile of bar oil. Thinking maybe I should keep buying a couple gallons every couple months so I can slowly make myself numb to the price increases. Easier than waiting till I completely run out and ending up in tears over the sticker shock when I go to buy more?
