Owner contacted me through the facebooks asking if I needed some wood. Well of course!! I’ll always take wood. He says well I’m not sure what all is there but take all ya like as long as you’re out before deer season. HOLY MOLY! White oak, red oak and hickory galore!! Of course there was some undesirable woods like elm and cedar but it wasn’t much.
Man just the right size for me.Many of those rounds would go right in my stove. How long has the wood seasoned ? Elm is good heat and better yet if it's stove sized rounds.
He had a new power line ran for his “hideaway” cabin he built at the back of his property. Tree crew came through in January and cut a 100 foot right of way through the property to run the new power line. Most all of the logs are around 18-20 inches thick and about 15-20 feet long.
I’ve been working on this pile since mid August and I’m about half way finished with it. Unfortunately today I was given my “eviction” notice that I have to be out by Friday. He did say that once deer season is done I can come back and finish up plus there’s more piles just like this one that I wasn’t shown until today.
Ive seen small piles of wood before. Not sure that qualifies Looks like you have a lifetime supply there. Keep busy LOL
Those logs look pretty clean too. Will it be too cold/ too much snow to cut after deer season closes?
I believe you might have won the award… Nice pile, and with mention of more piles like that, I think you’ll be busy after deer season for quite a while.
