The term "Young one" is subjective ya know.....
After 5-6 strokes and Kidney cancer ....had the kidney removed as it was the cause of the strokes....
Luckily the cancer was the most rare and slow growing type ....Removing the thing got it all.....So they said.....
    That was back in 2013....
The stinking persistent fatigue never seems to go away.....I believe you mentioned that some time ago....

But I still get up at 4 am and go at it.........by noon I am fading.....Eat dinner at 4pm and by 5pm it's back in the rack....

I always do an afternoon nap. It rejuvenates me. Besides, the cats like to keep me warm in the recliner....

    They don't service my area.

Here are current prices around here

I would be using Fieldings for the pre buy

Yeah, I just hope I can do sn*w removal this year........................
My PT says I should be able to do light stuff and use the blower early season. Maybe January-Feb before I might be more prepared.

Yup. PT told me today I am entering the danger zone time of recovery where it might start feeling better and people sometimes do too much thus causing damage.

I currently have a few painful areas that I am concerned about but I'm told it's normal. Fingers crossed as Murphy's law could generally be called Geno's law most times :headbang:

True but I think the stakes are higher this year.

If the economy crashes, prices could plummet. If not, prices could skyrocket.

For some reason I am not banking on steady-I feel its going to be one way or the other with no steady as she goes.

    Yes....The meds suck
The Dr's were all butt hurt after my stroke/s, which was caused by the kidney tumor.

Arterial tests showed "Clean plumbing" but the Dr put me on Statins.... Immediate issues with muscle aches and weakness.
Dr's made excuses about "Having to adjust to the drug" ....The muscle pain and weakness got worse....

The BP drugs kept me in a near not functional state.....

After 6 months of the debacle I grabbed all the pills and tossed the lot of them....

That was 2015......The muscle weakness and pain got better, but then has slowly returned over the past few years.....

Seems that the Statins can and do do this with some folks.....
Once it starts it can't be stopped.....

    So there ya go.....

Had I known more about these drugs I would have stayed far away from all of it....

My Cholesterol has been in the 375 + range since I was a teenager... But the plumbing is clear.....I should never have taken that drug....But we trust our Dr's.....UH HUH...

    And so it goes.....

same here, except I use oil :(

Although, the closest zip they service is 2 towns away and pricing is only 5 cents cheaper than I can currently get from Fieldings

60 deg in the house this morning but going to warm up to mid 70's today and maybe low 80's tomorrow so no heat now means no ac later.

Although I did kick the oil monster heat on for literally 1 minute just to make sure its working. As soon as the baseboard registers got warm, off went the heat

Now get out the crystal ball and let us all know which way its going this winter :p :D

Figures that the year I cant do pellets, is the year I would have had 4-5 ton in the garage because of oil pricing. Last 5 years I havent used more than 1-2 ton while using more oil at lower prices.

Currently I am sticking with the 1 ton of Mothras I have there left from last year. Hopefully I can start using them by January-ish. If I can safely manage the bags I will have to buy as I go or just use the 1 ton to keep the "edge off" in the basement and heat the living areas with oil-and sweaters

Its also about maintaining the stove. Until I can be a contortionist with my shoulder, regular cleaning of the stove on a heavy use season is a problem.

Rotator cuff repair isnt worth chancing a re injury. Although second surgery seems to be a fairly common thing, hearing from others. Most people that saw me in the sling had a story of "someone they knew" needing more surgery.

In a way, still having bicep pain might be a good thing as it reminds me the rotator is still healing for another 5-6 weeks. PT told me yesterday that 12 weeks is really the "you can do what you want or can handle" without damaging the rotator

Currently I am at the "you can lift a cup of coffee" stage for another 1-2 months.....WTH but apparently they dont want to strengthen the rotator until 12 week point. Bicep/tricep muscles are the current target.

Also allowed to raise my arm above my head-well they say that but my bicep says otherwise unless I stretch the heck out of it first.

PT put me thru the ringer again yesterday and I paid the price all night but after he worked the sh%t out of the tight area around that bicep, I was able to lift my arm over my head.

Regular and new stretches on the menu
