I know a bunch of "weekend warrier" firewooders that do that with a saw about every third cut! Then they lay down on the saw to cut and can't understand why it cuts slow and smokes so badly from the bar end!

I have a friend of a friend who does that. Smoke pouring off the bar. :picard: I made the mistake of offering to sharpen his chains...and did them by hand. :hair: He gives me a bunch of them. He still cuts that way and cant be told or learn his lesson. Never again. Why dont people learn???

I've told this before but my dealer had a customer walk in with his newly purchased saw jammed up solid with dirt. Guy was installing a invisible dog fence.

It's a big pool ! I personally witnessed a guy cutting rolls of asphalt roofing in half! Sparks and all.

I can see that being done with a carbide chain saw. The rescue saws are designed for cutting through stuff like that. If i had to id use a circular saw and/or sawzall. Ive cut through plenty of asphalt shingles with a circular saw in my day. Usually a couple shingles thick though.

They outlawed the deep end of the pool, and mandated floaties, so that everyone swims equally.
