Still at the overnight low of 51 here. Just feels a bit cooler than that though. Nothing but rain forecasted for the next 4 days beginning tomorrow, but we'll wait and see on that.
Still not close to burning wood... but still burning calories... more CSS this weekend! We've had a very good summer getting free scrounges, so we're working hard and getting close to 3-year. Temps been in the 70s-80s for highs and 60s for lows. Pattern appears to be pretty constant through at least the next couple weeks. Certainly no burning for September.
It looks like we'll drop to around 40 (maybe lower) so even though the house is warm enough, I think that I'll have a fire tonight that way I can turn off the dehumidifier in the basement.
We are getting into the mid 20’s at night here. Bring your jacket and favorite beverage. You’ve always got a place to cool down here
Grand Lake of The Cherokee? My old back door neighbors in SEKS would basically live there during the Summer Weekends… Caught a lot of Fish…
Follow up from my post here yesterday... still no burning wood, but gonna have my 15 year old burning some calories tonight. Another trailer load of already cut and quartered ash coming home. Will be the second load from the current NextDoor find. My wife asked me where I was going to put it. I said it will have to go in the driveway until I split it. She was concerned that she wouldn't be able to get out of the garage. But I'm getting it anyways! She'll be OK! Note... Wolverine's forecast above is my forecast.
Correct. Love it here. If only I could control the weather! I’ll never go hungry here. This is my front yard on a daily basis. Mike in Ok
Still has not broken into the 40's for overnight lows here. Mostly mid to high 50's. So no fires for us. Daily highs slowly lowering to the low 70's with one forecasted breaking into the 60's in a day or so. I split a couple of cords of Fir for an old friend and have been doing some desultory firewood stuff for myself. Last few nights there have been 5 or 6 owls booming away in the trees around our house. This usually happens in the late fall a couple weeks before a big Frazier River cold front moves in from Canada pushing the owls in front of it. I have no idea what this portends this early!
I'm thinking that your "outdoor thermostat" has failed.....maybe it is shorted out and has a constant call for heat. Ya may want to change it.
