It's Cold Out!

7:30 PM and it's already 32. Coldest I've seen it this early in the evening so far this year.

Parts of northern Maine got 4" of snow yesterday. This global warming isn't what it's cracked up to be.

 

You'll get over it eventually .

 

It is chilly. Wife just asked me to turn the heat up a little.

 

Stove is going, kept it going all day, so the house didn't cool down. Wife hasn't yipped at me, or dragged out the electric heater. Time for a hot cup of tea.

 

Mine was in shutdown mode when I got home, but by the looks of the hopper, it ran most of the day.

 

25.3 at 8:30 PM here.

We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave.

No it is just that it was in the teens here this morning, so the 25.3 seems downright tropical. My new birds were a bit confused with the hard water this morning.

 

It got a lot colder than it was predicted. The dogs pool was frozen over, and a some water left in a water bottle in the car was frozen solid. But the house is warm.
I imagine those new birds were confused. Wait until the see the first snow!

 

Pile up on the ramp on first snow, seen it just a few times.

 

Definitely cold enough for this stubborn pig to be burning. Had to lose the shorts and go to big boy pants a week ago too

 

And then you have the big 4 wheel drives that think they can drive as fast as they want....then they are in the median (and hopefully not in a tree)

 

I'm glad I don't live where you do. 26 was bad enough here.

 

Only been down to 33 here so far....hope it stays that way.

 

Just got our first frost a few nights ago...

 

The ground is white with frost this morning. Dogs went out and wanted right back in, no usually going around smelling everything.
