Any guy that cuts splits and delivers 100’s of cords a year of firewood; with a FT job on the side is allowed a splurge or 3

I cut out opening up my shop 2 days a week , Thats $45-50 in fuel for the 2 trips. Just work from home on items that i have the tools for there. Going to have to change over to box store food for the pups. I do not eat out 99.9 %of the time unless it's so late that i just don't have omph to make dinner for my self. that is very rare though. I only have one meal a day and nothing in between. still the grocery prices are out of hand no matter where you shop. house is heated with wood stove 99%. furnace / hot water and back up gen on propane - I do pre buys on that in June so i do not get burned when its cold. Have a 250 gallon tank never used it all in one year. hot water heater is 30+ years old, standing pilot type - but yikes the price of a new one and past experience dictates that new stuff dies right after any warranty . $1000+ for a new one of the same size- take a long time to break even on propane savings for not having a pilot light, Electric has gone up about $30 a month- nothing changed on my end. have an electric stove -seldom use it as the electric fry pan and the microwave are enough 99 % of the time

We eat roadhouse on occasion too. Usually $50-$60 with a couple beers or a mixed drink and a beer. That’s for me and the wife. Daughter goes when she’s at home and it almost doubled, that kid can eat! Stopped at Wendy’s today as I forgot my lunch and spent $12 for not much junk food.

Looks like there's a Texas Roadhouse not far from us. I'll have to give it a try. Never heard of the place before this thread.

Have her apply for stamps and WIC benefits, I’m sure she will get them and claim every puppy as a child without a baby daddy! The way this agenda is working you can probably even claim she’s a border jumper and get even more money!

We never get appetizers except at Roadhouse. Rattlesnake bites rule!

Look into a heat pump water heater. Prices aren’t too bad and they run cheap plus dehumidify. Way cheaper than running oil or propane.

It’s good. Can be loud but good. Steak prices are reasonable and not just typical restaurant quality meat but good stuff. Can’t speak for the rattlesnake bites, I have a serious onion allergy and have to avoid lots of foods and don’t trust a lot of others.

We paid about $900 for ours. Got a instant rebate of $500 off, fed I think, and a state tax credit of $200 (most people don’t understand how that works, you have to pay it but don’t have to pay the taxes). Had it since about 2015 I think. Don’t know what prices are today.

When we got our pup, the food we bought was purina large breed puppy chow (or something like that).

Vet chastised us as soon as we divulged it was purina. I think there is a hidden agenda there somewhere.

Switched to recommended iams large breed puppy chow for quite a bit more. Vet told us that purina has a lot of filler in it and can tell as soon as the scat is analyzed that it s purina.

So we switched. If anything, that goof eats more grass and sticks now then it ever has! Doesn't that fill its scat with filler too?

    Thought so!

The iams has gone up 10% since we bought the first bag.

Iams was brand new and the cat's meow decades ago. Not so much anymore as ingredients are just a bit better than certain Purina's. Idk, I'm grabbing a couple months worth of food for our dog later this week (railroad strike) of "mid grade" dog food and will call it good.

I hear blue buffalo is the worst. Search Purina dog deaths... I was out long ago. Roscoe is definitely a stick chewer!

One of our biggest cut backs is vacations. We haven't had a 5 day+ vaca in years. We take weekend/long weekend trips now.

We fed purina pro plan for many years. I think we were paying about $40 per bag at the end of it. We haven’t had a dog in 2 years 2 months now but a puppy is getting closer, just waiting for the right breeder to have a boy of the proper color of lab.

That is what my Dad fed his many dogs over the years (proplan). Idk, can't say one is better than the other regarding store kibble. Ours gets what we give and yes, supplemented with scraps before we season them up for food. I hope you catch the the new doggie bug soon TK

That’s what I’m getting at. I work hard so I can also play hard. I don’t do well with idle time or cheap beer and food.
