A great machine and an excellent price....then he threw in the conveyor. What a deal! And "Many Happy Returns of the Day" Jeff and Carol!

You should be able to change that...either switch the hoses around, or if that is not real easy, then just flip the pivot point of the lever to the other side (assuming its a Prince type valve with pivot on the spool cap...I can't quite tell in the pic) but you would remove the lever(s) and the 4 allen head bolts that hold the cap(s) in place (that the lever(s) pivot off of) but you don't even have to pull the cap loose, just spin it around so the pivot point is on the opposite side (top/bottom) and reinstall the bolts and lever...walah, lever operates in the opposite direction for the same function now.

We did the 10 hr oil change on Blue Samson Tuesday evening and cut a nice pile of rounds. I think we only split a couple lifts full that night.
Wednesday, we had a much better run with it.
    Loading him up... 26342.jpeg
4-way on some smaller rounds 26339.jpeg
Saved some bigger rounds, small knots for the 6-way. Miz Carol said that was too much coming thru at once.. ...I did slow down and help her stack it. 26337.jpeg
She finally got brave enough to try Blue Samson...I might have lost my new toy...o_O:eek::tears::picard: 0914222214_HDR.jpg
We finished the second row and did the last row in about 2 hrs or less. 0914222223_HDR.jpg That was with me loading rounds and helping her stack some. It sure surprised me how fast the work went and these weren't the best logs for production.

Now it’s just a matter of tweaking how you feed and diaper it. New splitter, new capabilities means new procedures. You’ll figure it all out.

Would it be better on your lovely bride if you backed up from the stacks and use that awesome conveyer you got?

Thought about that, but would have to pick splits off the ground to stack. We might try it on another shed

Moved the splitter to a different spot, moved and bucked more logs, then played around with the conveyor... 0915222227_HDR.jpg

We have 4-5 pick-up loads to deliver. We will load from this pile. 0916220028.jpg

I can see you backing a trailer under the conveyor and selling loads like that? That's where my mind went anywho, and Miz Carol is going to need a helper as much as you will put out with that beastie.

We're thinking about doing that with the trailer.

Maybe because it's new or because it's fun, but after cutting 2 big yards Friday, still had the itch to go up to the woodyard. We had 2 big oak logs and 4 smaller ones to buck 0916222100_HDR.jpg
Fired up the splitter @ 9PM, shut down a bit after 10. Tried both the 4 and 6 way wedges. 6 way is nice on the biger logs, if you were making boiler wood. 4 way works great too. Still have to re-split most of it. But the fast cycle time makes it easier, and the conveyor is sweet. 26422.jpeg

Finally got a good daylight video of Blue Samson and conveyor in action. Loaded the lift with rounds the 4-way could do on 1 pass mostly. It really takes care of business...
