I'm not surprised. I've tested two full synthetic Castrol products as well. One was only available in "the americas" and no longer made, the other was sent to me from Sweden by Bjorn . It's that middle one in your post.

I'm sorry SimonHS . I thought you said it is rebranded. I'm not sure if it is or isn't for your area. I know there is a fella in austi using a full mineral 2t Castrol oil there.

The Castrol GO can be had from Amazon in a 6 qt case pretty cheap. $6 to 7 a quart if I recall.

Eggshooterist have you tested this oil?
If testing and huskihl observations agree good enough for me

For people that say they haven’t seen pro small engine blow up. Y’all got to meet my brothers :picard:
They had killed 2 push mowers (2 cycle) 4 weedwackers and a pro Jon sered
NONE were straight gassed; all were cleaned and checked every 12 hours!

He recommends it because of my testing. So far out of 30+ oils tested, its the one. In fact, I stopped looking at different oils long ago as it checks all my boxes. My testing continues out of curiosity and the guys in the PM. It will take a significantly impressive oil to move me away from it or something bad manifests itself with Dominator. So far, after several gallons of mix burned in saws, blowers and trimmers I'm very happy. This at 25:1 - 40:1 and over the last 3 years.

My number 2 is Honda HP2 as of now. Further testing is in process on that.

Is this becoming a bonafide oil thread?

I kinda have that same problem with a particular fire-arm if I see that I "MUST" have. Although I have curbed my impulse recently myself. I have other things that more attention and $$$$$ at this time in my life. I do have 8 saws and use 5 of them nearly every time I cut wood.

Eggshooterist I know you've already tested the full synthetic Lucas but if you ever get the hankering to test this stuff, The semi-synthetic I'd like to hear it. I now have enough to last me for the next 10 years because I bought it on sale. I only use maybe a quart a year and I have 2 gallons of it now.

That's a lot of oil for a guy that doesn't burn wood. This is a serious question, where and what are you running all these saws doing to burn that much oil? Even at 25:1 I wouldn't think you could use that much in three years. The RC can't use that much fuel. I'm no huge user of mix or firewood. But I still burn three cords a year at least and I probably don't use half a gallon of oil a year!

I have an Amsoil preferred customer account. I buy directly from Amsoil and save 25% off retail. Now, I use Amsoil in everything now so its cost effective fir me to do so. The account is $16 a year if purchased in 5 year blocks.

Me likey guns too. Wifey and I used competition shoot rifles. I got out of the club scene as there is always interclub politics and I just want to shoot and go home. So, in went the 400 yard range on our 20 acres. My bench is 30 yards from my door. There is a berm at 100, 200, 300 and 400.

They are slick. After having used the one from Sweden, I wish all the oils came this way here.

I have not tested Lucas of any kind. I chose not to and there was no interest in it based on the things trusted members showed the group running the full synthetic version.

I tell you what, when I can find more of the trimmers I use to do this I'm willing to if you want to send me some. It doesn't take much.

I get lots of wind damaged red maple frequently plus I help others cut their supply as well. Mainly my brother in-law. For selfish reasons. So I can runy saws of course. Lol. But, my main usage is leaf blowing. I blow all the leaves from roughly 4 acres into a couple gardens. My hand held blower I go through 5 + gallons a year as I use it year around.

Also, keep in mind, the 30 + oil tested is not in real world usage. Only the top 4 have gotten more testing in real world applications at normal ratios. The left over oils from my lean ratio testing get used up in my lawn boy mower, toro snowblower or if they really performed badly, drill bit or assembly lube, given away or burnt up in my crapsman rider I use to pull a cart around with.
