This is it—the last little bit of seasoned wood to get us through this coming winter. We’re all set for next winter and at least two more beyond that.

For $25 I picked up this fully seasoned wood— 1/3 plum, 1/3 maple, and 1/3 miscellaneous. Decent for the PNW. Plus the rack, plus the cart. The cart is perfect for our kids to handle the rough but short terrain between our stacks and the cabin. Honestly I would’ve been stoked to pay $25 for the cart alone.

Anyway, I’m psyched that now I can focus on scrounging nothing but the best wood for Winter 2027 and beyond.

    Cool pickup!
I got my splitter in an equally awesome way, "finish splitting this wood, and take the splitter home, Im done wooding".

Good to be on the multi-year plan too.

I’d say you got a deal! Someone getting out of burning wood?

A family moving from Washington State to Orlando, but honestly they didn’t seem that into burning wood beyond their fire pit anyway. My guess is that someone gave them all of it because he said he never used the dolly (but it’s clearly moved a lot of wood). And they didn’t mention it was maple in the ad, but it looked like something interesting from the pictures.

The plum was actually free from a second score yesterday. The guy had about a cord, but almost all of it was cut so short that it would be a pain to handle. Luckily he said I could take what I wanted. If I was burning now then I probably would’ve grabbed all of it.

Wow that’s really cool. Must give you an extra little smile each time you fire it up!

Being on the multi-year plan is the best part of this. Time is finally on my side! It’s one of the many things I’ve learned on this site—very appreciated.

Heck yeah! I'd do the same! I have a very similar cart too. I use it all the time.

One last thing…I had to put it in our front
Nice! I might do what my buddy did with a rusted, beater wheelbarrow I gave him last year:
