Bring your trucks and trailers to Mocksville
tomorrow. That’s the homeowner with the lift. He’s working on it now. I’ll go in the morning with a truckload of Stihl to finish the job.

I like both Stihl and Husky so let's all be calm.

All joking aside that looks like a fun time for all. Please be safe!

    There won’t be enough room for Huskies. No telling what’s inside the old farm oak, so I’m taking 084 32” and 36” bars, 661 with 28”, 462 with 25”, 400 with 20”, 261 and 201 with 16”

Looks like a biggun. Sounds like you have the right toys to get it done.

What length bar on the 500? :D Looks like some good stuff. A PU full of big saws needed for that tree.

Yep, that was a good one.
Chud , you boys got your work cut out for ya. I did a 32" dead Red last Saturday in the heat. 6 hrs in the sun and humidity before we got it all cleaned up. Cut safe!

Have not measured yet but I’m guessing 60+”
Side opposite of pics is completely rotted out.
A house fire burned it pretty bad.

I’m not judgin ya :) I’m known to be pretty hard on my equipment. Reading the thread yesterday I got the mistaken impression the owner was doing all the bucket work and you were felling the trunk.
Gotta ask tho. What’s the object next to the rope in the basket? Looks like an air cleaner cover to a saw. See even I wouldn’t shower a saw with chips with the cover off LOL. Too much work to fix that situation.

I think you are seeing the foot safety switch cover/guard.

It’s the operator presence switch throttle dumb foot pedal. You can’t operate anything unless your foot has the pedal down. I was hoping there was nothing left but the boom, but I had to cut back everything on the house side and over the peekan trees during monsoonal rain.
There’s not words strong enough to describe the level of suk.
