Got woken up to a loud banging sound last night at 3am. Lasted several seconds. Jumped out of bed as did the wife to find my 90 lb. Doodle who sleeps at the top o0f the stairs somehow tumbled down the entire staircase. Turned the light on and she was at the bottom staring up at us.
I hope she's doing okay! Our goofball rolls over and off the bed every now and then with a commotion.
Interesting. A one time thing is one scenario, but if it happens again then changes might need to be made. Glad pooch is ok. Ours is 5yo and makes a lot of racket going down the stairs if she's in anhurry, 70# GSD. (She's my ever present companion...I was splitting wood monday morning before the rain hit here)
Our 18lb flabby tabby orange cat falls off the top of the couch sometimes. He's not the most charismatic cat. Hope your pooch is okay.
My oldest cat, Rita, at about 6.5 pounds, does that too at times. Sounds like she weighs a lot more when she hits the ground. Doesn't seem to do any damage or faze her. And, that only happens in winter, when I move the couch over to in front of the bay window so there is no wall behind.
