We're having a GTG for chainsaw enthusiasts in Pike County, Georgia on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014. Zip is 30206. Equidistant between Atlanta, Columbus and Macon. This will be held rain or shine as covered area is available in case of rain. Wood has been collected, food is being planned and it should be a chance to meet some people you only know from the forums. Nice to see a GTG that I could make...I'm north of Atlanta in Woodstock...my firm has done events in Griffin..and on top of that its my birthday on the 20th. That being said, its a tough time to get away, work wise. I will really try to, but won't know my schedule till Labor Day or so.

Same weekend as Field Day of the Past in Richmond, VA where I have been participating the past 20 years. I usually bring out about 30 saws to display.

Between 250 and 64 back about 30 mins. If I get a chance I will been about 15 years since I went. Friends father has the same sort of thing in somerset. I go to that one normally.
I used to live about 3 miles from GumSpring and still have property up in Louisa near Orchid. I have not been to Somerset since Bill Roberts died, but used to go every year.
Small world small world. I am actually in Fluvanna, my north boundary is the Fluvanna Louisa line. Have some family land in Green Springs though.
Definitely take lots and lots of pics Clem, this should be in you back yard. He says he goes to Atlanta for work. So it can't be super far.

I'm on a 21 day vacation right now, not going back until the 16th - I'd be hard pressed to work out more time off. If you have another GTG be sure to post here, I'd like to make one
