Got a 1/4" last night from a quick hitting TS going thru last night. Well, that took up my allotment for the week so I expect any other storms to go around my place.
The predicted rain on Sunday and Monday brought us a sprinkle or two. I will take advantage of the dry ground conditions to do more tractor work on my upcoming days off.
we have had so hot over here for weeks, the fields are brown hose pipe ban, houses on fire ,ban on b/qs,still no sign of rain for some time yet.
I've looked at that thermometer every day about the same time in the afternoon. I think the dam thing is broke!!! It seems to be stuck there...
A storm is moving in heading northwest, so far it's just rain which we need with winds that might gust to 40 mph.
That part stayed east of us and headed north, they were calling for pea sized hail. We never did get any winds but the rain we received was needed.
About two days ago I saw two more trailers parked with sections of the base of windmills, they usually head up 68 and go to the Burg, the last one snarled up traffic when it went through the Burg. The rain we received today soaked the trunks of the trees, could've used more but we'll take it....did you get any rain yet?
You got rain today? No. None here. I was putting some new culverts in with the Kubota today. I knew i better get them into these areas while I can. Usually I don’t go into these low spots with R-4 tires. It’s so dry I can go right down into the drainage areas and clean them out.
Just before three it started raining pretty good, the storm came from the southeast heading northwest. If I remember you have clay or a mixture, that can be tough going when wet.
We're getting more rain, lightning and some wind from the front that is moving through, north and west of us have some power outages but so far things are good here.
Had some serious lightning, thunder, and some downpours here. Calmed down now. Channel 7 news interruption about 7:10ish with a Tornado warning for the Alexandria Bay Area. But that went away quick. Power went out here three times but right back on in less than 30 seconds.
