We had some heavy rains not long after I posted, so far the ground is soaking it up. Those look great!

Looks great. The last 24 hours we received 1.47 inches of rain, we needed that.

Yesterday we spent four hours working in the Brook removing some chit that came down with the high waters in the spring, the water felt great but it's still cold, yooperdave calls it the turtle affect.

I spent another two hours in the Brook today, the little 310 is still running fine and the rocks are still slippery. I was hoping what we wanted done would be finished by the end of next week but with a possible inch of rain coming in on Tuesday the water levels in the working area will be higher then I want to work in.

The boss has been a big help with this job so I owe her a nice meal but first some guy will need to drop about four pounds. He's shedding some pounds for the festive season that starts in November.

Glad you have been able to some work done safely in the water.
Yep, we have to treat our bosses special, especially when they help us in so many ways

We haven't done much Brook work in about 3 or 4 years and the spot we're working is one of the safer spots footing wise so it actually feels good.

I had a few appointments today but when I came home we headed back in the Brook, we hauled out some tree limbs and more rounds before they headed down the Brook if we get heavy rains. We were only back there about 40 minutes, the air temp was 90 and the water felt warm.

At 90 I probably would be laying in the water.

If we had been back there for two hours, I would've taken a swim.

Quite close but very short lived. There was a squall line but it was breaking up as it got here so no problem. Strong wind for maybe 1-2 minutes then just rain and a little thunder.

I had cleaned the outside pipe on the wood and pellet stove a few weeks back so today I cleaned the inside pipe on the wood stove and the inside of the wood stove.

The SootEater does a great job, I still have the brush but haven't used it in a few years.

The Brook was up today but we did more work in the same area, hopefully we have the majority of the work done by the end of next week.

We put in more hours in the Brook today, if the weather is good next week, we should have the logs out with the help of the tractor. After that I'll be on cleanup duty, we'll need all the chit we pulled out a good distance from the Brook since it can run across the area where all the chit is in the spring if we get a good amount of snow along with with a quick melt with heavy rains.
