Saw this at the compost center today! :picard:
IMG_0057.JPG Well it was seasoned!  "WAS" being the key word here! This is the type of waste i hate. Someone took the time and effort to turn it into splits and its to be ground into mulch

    That's a waste. Definitely.

I see it all the time here. A tree gets taken down by a tree service. They are" keeping the wood" . Then the rounds, almost never splits, get hauled and stacked on the edge of the property. Years go by, and it's rotten.

Next time I see a "keeping the wood" sign, I'll be contemplating changing the "wood" to "compost"

Without a doubt that is such a waste. You would think that they could find someone to haul it away before it gets to the stage of being worthless.

It’s a shame they bought those racks to store rotting wood.

Heard a wood chipper running and had to investigate. Got there just in time to see this red maple log going through the chipper. IMG_1642.JPG Almost needed my defibrillator.
They were taking down a couple trees in the yard. IMG_1645.JPG Found this a couple houses down right on the street. Rang door bell and no one home. Have a call into the tree service for it. IMG_1644.JPG

Still there as of last night when I came home from work.
Being left like that I would be willing to bet tree service coming back for it.

It’s gone. just some bark left in the road.

The one where the chipper was had someone there loading a trailer.

That stinks. I never did hear back from them. Oh well, i gave it a shot.

Was it a tree service loading or a hoarder? I couldve had dibs on that wood, but my back didnt like the size. I hate big stuff in the hot weather.
