    No not that kind.
Stacked this yesterday and it seemed sturdy when i left last night IMG_1620.JPG and discovered it late this afternoon! IMG_1641.JPG CRAP! :headbang: :hair:  Wonder if the 1-2" of rain last evening had any affect?
I hate stacking. I hate restacking even more. Pressed for space so i go higher. Only would be there 2-3 months as its sassafras and red maple that were almost ready to burn when split last month.
    Any volunteers to help restack???:D

I have to clean up aisle 36 here first. :emb:
Stack of dead ash between a couple trees about 6' tall that toppled last month.

    I'll bet!
Well, did you at least get to watch the carnage as it happened?

That sucks. Precious firewood making time spent restacking is the worst.

Restocking is definitely the worst. It’s happened to me twice, both times apple. Before I put the snow retention things on my garage roof, sliding snow pushed stacks over. :headbang:

Nope! I "shook" the stack a couple times to check stabilty and even had attached an "outrigger" to stiffen the base too. Shouldve attached a cleat to the stack behind it from the side support. Thunderstorm was fast approaching. Oh well hindsight is always 20/20! :picard:

buZZsaw BRAD Would those 18 Inch square pavers work under those racks to keep them from falling over?

Take a few 2-3" diameter rounds (branches really) that are long enough to span across both rows there and just lay them in the stack in random places as you are stacking...that ties them together, much more stable, especially the tall skinny ones.

Ive seen that done before. Kind of a last minute quick decision where to put this stack as the mound of splits was close by and the pallet was scored the other day.

Stacking and re-stacking no fun either way, but it happens to the best of us.

Well, Brad… That hardwood is no good anymore, since it fell over. Better give it to me.

LOL!!! Can you PU this weekend? Saves me from restacking. Nothing special as its 2/3 sassafras and the balance is red maple. Probably ready to burn or very close to it.

I have a customer who may want it right away. Ill call tomorrow.

I’ll be splitting a bunch of Lodgepole Pine and Doug Fir in the am. I’ll trade ya, straight across. I’ll put some pics up, so you know what you are getting;)
