Like bogieb said, I don't want to like this either. Take care of yourself.

Husband wanted to wrap them, but I need to be able to take a deep breath sometimes. What did you do?

If it still hurts you might want to get an X-ray. Not much they can do, but if you broke a rib you would want to make sure it heals properly. Take care and feel better, Heidi.

Ouch, busted rib, been there done that twice. Last Feb was the second time. No ladder but slipped on ice getting out of truck, when I woke up I was about 10 ft away. Got the should real good also - that is still a bother.

Eat ice cream get lots of calcium and don’t develop pneumonia while they heal!! I’ve broken all bones some more than once.. twice and according to surgeons my bones are harder than average..
This does not speak well to my common sense or intelligence :picard:

you can dislocate lowest rib; my Physical therapist pops it back in.. feels much better

Okay, I'll get my Calcium D pills back out. I know I have mild osteoporosis (osteopenia?) from taking prednisone for so long, but I did the edge a lot harder than I thought possible. Thanks

all they ever for me the first time around was wrap things up kinda tight- rib cage that is. Got nailed by a guy running stop sign. by the time i got out of the hospital I could have played the mummy in any horror show. No make up needed. :bug: my car looked like a dog chasing its tail.

BTDT, broken ribs such. But unless the rib ise where is supposed to be, you'll be fine. Take it really easy. Unless it's out of place, there's not much any doctor can do. Besides what we've already told you that is.

Thanks, years long bus driver today confirming pickup/drop off & location times, said he broke his ribs this weekend too, he was bucked off a horse. He's like 75 holy cow! Explained deep breathing and exhaling to me to prevent pneumonia like you warned of, thanks :) Anyway the clicks (below) are really creepy.
I'm so sorry!!! So glad you made it through that.
That's why I need to get to a doc at some point, after a cough or sneeze I get a click upon inhale both in the front and the back. Hopefully just dislocated like CnVtBd mentioned but I don't really know. I was just stunned after it happened, I swear it happened in a fraction of second. Guessing chris felt similar.

Received some more rain today. Much needed. A few more fixes around house and barn with the help of my brother. Had a nice dinner with our Mother and another older brother and sister-in-law. I bought some steaks and brother cooked them on the grill, baked potatoes and tossed salad. Brownies and ice cream for dessert! :faint:All was delicious.:)
