Ordered wood 6 months ago and it's finally here. Crazy to think how hard it is yo get wood in Maine this year. I cut my own off my property but decided last winter to buy a couple of loads to try to earn some extra money selling cut and split. Generally just starting small to work into a side job for when I retire.. 20220817_085440.jpg 20220817_085432.jpg 20220817_085404.jpg 20220817_083150.jpg

    Nice! Have fun with it.
Just curious where you are in Maine if you don’t mind me asking. I spend some time in The Forks during the summers.

Dang, that is a long wait. At least it's there. Lotta straight poles, should be easy to work over.

I'm lucky too. Lots of people can't get any logs. Just cut and split, and that's starting to run low in some areas.

I live in Newport, PA. There seems to be a lot of towns with that name across the country, and whenever we travel I try to go visit them, just for fun. If, I'm in Maine, will have to visit your town too!

“Starting small”? I love it!

Reminds me of a story when visiting Newport, RI. We took a tour of one of the mansions. Kevin Costner and his wife was in our small tour group, and a couple times I caught my wife checking him out from behind. I gotta admit that guy knows how to wear a pair of jeans. :emb:

Nice size logs for processing! When I was getting grapple truck loads it was always “what’s he gonna bring me now? “ . I’d like to get another just for fun…

At least you can get loads. Where I am it’s impossible. If I were two hours north, easy peasy

A load of logs like that makes for some easy and quick cutting with no brush to handle.

Yes for sure. I cut my own wood off my property and it feels like 10 times the work and time.
