Only oak seems to leave the very noticeable staining/streaking that gives you a warning. Most other woods very little.

That split got stacked with the other. Wonder if the future burner will find it?

Last week the humidity broke. Its been Heaven ever since. Work has been a bit busier so no wooding. Starting to get a bit sticky again, but nothing like the tropical weather we had. May go cutting Friday or Saturday. Have to help a friend with his hoard too...splitting and stacking.

It was humid here today, after 20 minutes of cutting I was soaked. This weekend is suppose to get warmer, maybe a high of 85 on one day.

    I saw that. Yuk.

I hope to move a cord of red oak splits Saturday morning, early, ahead of the heat.

Musical firewood in the stack area? Pulling splits from your Sisters?

Unloading splits at the top of the driveway. Then, I move them to a rack beyond the screenhouse, at my leisure.

I moved splits from that temp landing area so there's room for more hopefully, tomorrow from my SIL's.
