Grabbed some garage heat at lunch time. 2.5”x8” 2’ hemlock chunks. Pretty sure the stove will take them without cutting down. Not bad for 15 min. work. I did get permission to take what I wanted.
Didn’t have to look far, the dumpster is at my work place. Most all of it is concrete form work. Pretty rough on chains/ blades this stuff was on top unfortunately my coworker smashed it down with the excavator before I got to dive in.
Almost too nice to burn unless really crappy. Great score as i wouldve dove right in after those too.
Who you trying to kid Brad, you'd still be in there looking for more treasure. You guys are doing it wrong, you start one fire in October and burn till May. Saves on kindling.
Youre right! One of my favorite hobbies...beside hoarding wood. Years back we had had the roofing account for a local private school. I was amazed at what the maintenance shops threw away. Copper tubing, partial boxes of cedar shingles come to mind.
More treasures. I would have grabbed more but there were a ton of nails sticking out of the debris. Not worth a nail in the foot on Friday afternoon.
