Had a 24” red oak blow down and another pass away from oak wilt leaving me with a few stacks.
Man was it hot this summer cutting, stacking and splitting!

I’ll cut more this fall that succumbed from oak wilt also.

If you have the rack space and patience to wait a few years, oak is the way to go I if you can get it.

    Nice scrounge

It takes forever to dry… but I can’t leave it to rot. For sure it’s a pain to season.

I know you use that water cooled underwear…. But I can’t bring myself to do that quite yet!

    Thanks..

Who doesn’t like pics of freshly cut red oak.. right?

Nice looking stacks there F1! Been dry here with drought conditions. Great for drying firewood thats for sure.

Not a fan of the long drying tome but if mother nature (or a tree service) gives me an easy score im hard pressed not to take it. Being a hoarder doesnt help either.

Nice to hear from you Stinster. Hope all is well...

All my girls are not as productive as the old days for some reason, but yes Emma is still my sidekick.

    She’s 11 and a half… just starting to slow down a little.

She likes being outside with me.
