TSC house bar & chain oil $14.99 a couple days ago!
I can't imagine what name brand stuff goes for now!
I picked up a couple gallons a month or two back, when it was $11 or so.
Still crazy that the same stuff was $7 or $8 a couple years ago.
    Smh.

Last year I used 5G, this year on my third, with the Ash score still in the future.
The cost of heating with wood will go up when more bar and chain oil have to be purchased.
$14.99 is kinda high, but, one or two might come home esp. if prices don't head down.

A couple months ago, the trailer I wanted @TSC was $1800. A week or two back, the same trailer was $2299.
    Yeesh.

I have 1.5 gallons of x-guard left that I paid 11 and $12 per gallon for. I’m sure he’ll charge more for it next time, but I like the stuff. It doesn’t seem to crud up the bars and saws like other bar oils.

Blain's farm and fleet has resolute brand b&c oil for$6.50 / gallon. It's not the $5 it used to be, but it's not $15 either.

What motor in that edge? If it's the 3.5 v6, it's not rated to use anything more than e10. Mom has one, and are asked me about the" unleaded 88". I told her don't use it!

If you buy it at the right place the percentage of mpg decrease makes sense when the price is right.

Also, the ethanol isn't really made from the "same" corn as what you can make food or booze from.

Speaking of corn, I posted elsewhere, just picked up my first 2 tons of off grade bagged seed corn to roast in the biomass stove, got 2 more tons to pickup. best part is, it's free, Just have to take one of the Kubota's down the road and pick it up Be burning substantially more this year in as much as I installed a second biomass stove in the shop this summer. Propane will be there for supplement heat in the house when it gets really bitter and the stove cannot keep up. Fine with me. Propane is at $2.79 a gallon presently but I have 2 full 500 gallon bottles (425 gallons at 85% fill).

Shows $10.99 gal here. Should have close to 8 gallons on the shelf waiting for me to get off my ash and use it.
