Lots of skinny poles out of these 2 Sass that got knocked down by a dead pine.
Beautiful cool southern morning for cutting.

I've scored a bit of sass lately (not just from teenagers). Is it good for smoking? It has a really strong aroma when cut.

Nice Goldilocks wood there. Common down there? Common scrounge? You mix it random with other primo hardwoods?

I'd prefer morning cutting for sure. Our overnight temps really cooled off. Unfortunately I'm scheduled to install a blow and go on 2 Hardleys in the next 2 days.:picard: Both traveling 3 hours to get to me. Trade ya!

Great for outdoor furniture if you can mill it. Great fence posts too. I have some drying and looking forward to building something.

Fairly common in natural areas. It gets racked with other primo hardwoods. I like to mix some easy burning with oak.

I would really hate to burn some nice furniture. Most of what I have is in the 6"-12" range so it's destined for firewood.

My dilemma when i scrounge wood since ive started milling with buzz-saw. I see lumber not firewood.
Have some nice sass sections waiting there from a recent score.
Are you sniffing the splits as you are processing it Gary?

Well, let me just say my last name isn't Biden.:p However, the fragrance was notable so I did stop and smell the...cut in this case.

I do have some monster pieces of honey locust if you feel like dragging the mill to Indiana.

LOL!!! My HL score from the Spring was supposed to yield some logs for milling, but the tree guys took them! His mill is stationary, but he does chain saw mill logs. One thing ive never seen or done before.
Our dilemma is getting nice logs to his yard.
