They're hard to beat for power to weight. A 064 is awful nice also.

I was thinking about this in the combine tonight...
    A 272, 046, 7900, and 064 all share a bore size...
They go up in horsepower as the stroke is lengthened...
    But...
    The 7900 has quad ports...
    Just food for thought..
    And stuff...

The 9010 is the same bore size also.

I have the Solo version of the Dolmar 9000, Solo 694 big old heavy red thing, very hard to pull, like a 2101 no decomp. However I do not know if it shares the same stroke length as the 9000.

OK, so help a fella out here.... quad port increases turbulence in the fuel delivery? Turbulence = gooder?

Or the partition can act to better direct fuel all around piston top?

Your 460 would make any logger or firewood cutter one happy fella.

Quads distribute the fresh charge more precisely than the standard duals...
Like C4F said, many cases where the smaller quad port motor can out perform the larger dual...
    Just more efficient..

A HVA 272 & 372 are a good comparison, dual CP vs quad CP. 372 makes more torque.

They are strong and stuff. Still prefer the 395 for the superior handling of the outboard clutch:cheers:
