Good morning! 63F and sunny. Gorgeous day and upcoming weekend. When I got home last night I pulled the splitter out and split some old dry ash to add to a nearly empty tote and then split some cottonwood to put on top. Then I split the dead ash I had brought home Tuesday. Checked with the moisture meter after splitting. Less than 15% and ready to burn. It will probably end up in the roadside stand this weekend. The in-law's church had VBS this week. We'll probably go watch the closing program where my niece has been helping out. I also need to split some maple that is in the back of the truck. I need it empty in the morning so I can bring another load home. Have a God day!

Morning All. Another clear sunny day dawned. Fog is just laying out on the water until about now when it dissipates. Busy day with household chores. Went for a visit yesterday and ice cream with my co-worker from the school. Nice visit. We are both having busy summers.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Good morning, members.

A few showers, at the moment. Warm sunny day ahead.

I have plans to spend a couple of hours at my SIL's splitting oak this morning. I'll be taking a friend with me. I'm hoping to avoid splitting in direct sunlight.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

Good morning All. I am putting on a fish fry today for my father-in-law who is 90.

Here he is in 1968 at his gunship in Viet Nam. He piloted over 400 missions providing close air support for clandestine insertions and extractions of 6 man US Army Special Forces teams in Cambodia. He is also a Purple Heart recipient having received a relatively minor gunshot would from a hostile ground fire round that came through his helicopter. Many of his heroic missions are listed in a book titled “Secret Green Beret Commandos in Cambodia” by Fred Lindsay which became available relatively recently. All that time his family never knew the full extent of the team’s heroism until after the operation was declassified. He retired as Lt. Colonel from the Air Force, then went on to fly leer jets for a private company, then on to a 757 jetliner instructor for Northwest Airlines (now Delta) until his final retirement.

Here he is recently in front of Uncle Sheldon, US Army veteran, who is 92, a Korean War veteran, and also a Purple Heart recipient. Our son, a US Army Sargent/platoon medic, and Middle East combat zone veteran is with them, just on the edge of the picture.

Morning all. Foggy morning that will clear off to bright sunshine. Our good weather is continuing. We are blessed that the house can be opened up to catch the westerly and cool the house down quickly. We wouldn't want it to get over 75 F in the house :D.

The Shepherd noticed that one of his 100 sheep was missing. He headed out into the dark and the rain and found the missing lamb. Jesus is looking for you- his missing sheep. If you call on His name, He will answer you. Return to Him now while you can.

"Your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost" Matthew 18:14

    Happy Sabbath everyone.

Good afternoon all. 73* and partly cloudy.
Chaz got an old trailer load of punky wood up to the upper flat to our burn area. The two picks of the trailer and tractor is Holly. One she is under the trailer and she under the tractor. Kinda hard to see.

    Good morning, members.

Another nice start to the day. 62⁰ with DP 53⁰.

I'll give hand splitting a try this morning. I still have chunks of ash needing to be put to bed.
