Yes and the more I take the more they save. Occasionally someone else asks for wood and I don’t mind sharing. There’s always more. Their dump truck.
Yeah they put up with a lot of abuse during their life. This one was planted in 1957 and there’s no telling how many times the roots and buttress have been gouged for new walks, curb, pavement, high voltage, storm drain repair, high pressure steam leaks, leaking water pipes, building renovations, snow blades, aerators, lawn mower blades. They catch hell year round, so there’s going to be some level of decay.
