We have a couple totes of chunks now. That was before we got any totes and all 25 drums were full.

Wish I could find more of the metal storage baskets. I like those better than totes for chunk storage.

I picked up a load of maple this morning. The picture on Marketplace was nice smallish rounds all stacked and ready to load. I got there and found a huge pile of brush (covering what was in the picture) and there was big stuff scattered around.

I had to go up 2 steps and through a gate. I had to cut every piece and noodled most of them. It took a little longer than I anticipated. I may go back tomorrow after they clean the yard up.[IMG]

Not too bad there Gary. I hate it when the pics are deceiving and there's more work than anticipated, but we get it done. How's the temps out there?

They've been in the 90s all week. Yesterday topped out in the mid 80s so it seemed cool. I haven't been going out to work until 8:00 most nights.

I woke to the sound of thunder. I think there's a song that goes like that. Anyway, the plan was to go back for another load of maple today. I got the truck ready and it was sprinkling. Full blown storm now so that will have to be another day.

I don't know. These are 55 gal drums, so I guess 5-6 drums.

No, they are parts shipping crates, collapsible metal storage bins.

Got a call from a neighbor. Storms came through this morning. Took part of a maple. Hit the pole and took out the power line. Apparently it's on his driveway. Told him I'd stop by and make sure he can get out. Will probably clean it up next week.

Ended up not doing any bundles. Went to storage, set up a rack in a new area and stacked half cord of black birch. Did a little organizing too. IMG_1459.JPG IMG_1460.JPG

Those racks make for some really neat stacking!

Thanks. They sure do. I grow tired of cribbing ends. I recently cleared that area of old inventory. I was going to set pallets and continue the cribbed stacks that run perpendicular to that one. Recently did a deck demo and salvaged most of the lumber. You can see the end boards were from it. Three more to fill that section plus two rows to finish where white bucket is in pics. One is red oak heartwood. Have a PU full staged there waiting for splitting. May work on that this week. Need three more hardwood pallets and will go to an HVAC supply house that gets these nice 3x8 hardwood ones. That ill tweak to size.

That really makes me appreciate all the work that guys like you put into stacking. I just grab splits off the end of the splitter and put them right into IBC totes. Them almost stack themselves! (Well not quite)
