I really like black locust, and the history behind them is interesting. There are huge stands of it all over my area. When I see a grove of them from a distance, they kind of remind me of some of the trees I’ve seen in videos from Australia. That tall, skinny timber form with a narrow sparse crown. They have an otherworldly quality to them. Which is why I have a few growing in pots that I plan on transplanting this fall
I agree. We had pizza near the Goodspeed opera house today and ate outside. I of course was admiring the grove of BL nearby!
LOL!!! Visited her daughter and went to salmon river to cool off. Werent staying for supper until her daughter suggested getting pizza. EXCELLENT pizza. Their large was in an oval box 50% larger than a normal large pie...$33 ouch. Ate right next to the river in the shade with a nice breeze coming off the river.
