You don't have an air compressor? I'm surprised you aren't using a cross cut saw living in the stone age and all. Lol.

If there's a legit performance and weight difference, that might be a tempting idea. Im ok to be a brand name whore, zero loyalty here, but the 2 Husq saws (450 & 460) have a bunch of interchangeable parts which is covenient.
Both would be better with a little more pepper to the motor.

Only time I clean mine is when the sawdust and chips collect under the side cover and starts falling on the floor or when I flip the bar or replace a chain. damm oiler makes goober sawdust.

Some confuse detailing with cleaning. I don't do the toothbrush detail but I firmly believe in compressed air.
And not just the saws most everything that gathers dust inside gets blown out.
All power tools at my shop get blown out by everyone every use, only takes a few seconds.
A bit of dirt just collects more dirt and oil until the inside is coated and plugged up. Excessive heating and localized hot spots frequently are a cause of failure.

    Still saws wood....
I bought this saw new in '09 and have cut around 100 cords with it, never cleaned it once, and have not done anything to it other than a plug and fuel filter about a year ago, stihl running the original air filter.
Only paid $350 for it new, so I figure that's pretty cheap sawdust.

I spose the sawdust holds the screws in.
If I had a husky I probably wouldn't clean it either.

This is a Stihl thread ya know
